Five years ago the Youth In Music Championships were just a dream and an idea. In those years the YIM Championships have grown from 9 to 20 bands and from 1,400 to 6,000 in attendance. The YIM Championships have quickly become one of the premier marching band events in the upper-Midwest. Stanbury Uniforms is proud to be a sponsor of Youth In Music Midwest Marching Championships.
Held each October in the Metrodome Stadium in downtown Minneapolis, The YIM Championships allow bands the opportunity for a late-season event without concern of inclement weather.
This year the preliminary round saw six Class A bands, two AA and six AAA bands vie for 10 finalist positions, along with exhibition performances from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire Blugold Band (a Stanbury client), the Minne-Brass drum corps, Envision School for the Arts and the Minnesota Vikings Skol Drumline.

Youth in Music also presented four scholarship awards to deserving band students, including Sophia Kor and Sarah Malaske of Eastview HS.
