On Sunday, September 6th in Rochester, NY the Reading Buccaneers won the 2009 DCA World Championships, besting a field of 24 all-age drum and bugle corps and earning a record score of 99.025 to capture the gold.
Based in Reading, Pennsylvania, the "Bucs" have now won 9 DCA titles, their first being in 1965 and 2009 being their 5th consecutive championship. In fact, the Bucs have been undefeated since June, 2005 - that's 47 competitions in a row - which is also how long they have been wearing their stunning blue Stanbury Uniforms.
"To think that the Bucs have never lost a show while wearing Stanbury Unifoms is amazing! The entire organziation is top-shelf, and this just validates what we have known for years", states Stanbury CEO Gary Roberts. "We are vey proud to support such a powerful leader in the all-ages marching activity."
The Stanbury Uniforms, Inc. family extends it's congratulations to the entire Buccaneers organization and looks forward to a continued partnership as the Reading Buccaneers continue to set new standards of excellence and entertainment in the all-ages drum and bugle corps activity.
