This past Labor Day weekend the Reading Buccaneers earned their 3rd consecutive Drum Corps Associates World Championship.
"The DCA Championships is a storied event in the drum corps activity, and the competition is tight", states Stanbury Regional Manager Patrick Seidling. "The Buccaneers have certainly found the formula to achieve in that arena and we couldn't be more excited to provide the Bucs a stunning uniform to support an equally stunning musical and visual program."
Held in Rochester, NY, Drum Corps Associates (DCA) Championship is the premier event for the all-ages drum and bugle corps activity. The Buccaneers have won the DCA title seven times, including the inaugural competition in 1965. Making the season even more special is the fact that 2007 was the corps 50th Anniversary.
Outfitted in a Stanbury uniform of striking blue, silver and sequin, Reading finished this year's championship run undefeated, also for the third year running.
"Everyone in the Buccaneers family is elated by how the corps capped off an amazing 50th anniversary celebration with two spectacular performances at DCA Championships to bring our third consecutive championship home to Reading", states Tom Moore, Buccaneers alumnus and Director of Public Relations.
"We are very proud of our members, who performed a very difficult show with style, class and sophistication. One of the things that make the Buccaneers unique are our beautiful Stanbury uniforms. Our members look as good as they move and play, and we couldn't be happier with them."
The Stanbury family is proud to be associated with the Reading Buccaneers and congratulates them on another outstanding season.
